The key duties of the position include About the role The Security Officer supports the management of the NACC's protective security measures, including administrative functions and arrangements that support compliance with the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). The role provides a key support to the effective management of the physical security of the NACC's properties. Under the direction of the Senior Security Officer, you will: Contribute to the review and ongoing maintenance of security clearances and liaison with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). Supporting the agency on-boarding process for employees and contractors. Contribute to the review of security risk assessments relating to physical and personnel security and site inspections of agency facilities and infrastructure. Undertaking pre-employment screening processes including DVS, and NCCHC's. Contributing to the management of all electronic security systems across the agency including CCTV, electronic access control, electronic key safes, safes and containers and intruder detection. Contribute to the review of security risk assessments relating to physical and personnel security and site inspections of agency facilities and infrastructure. Contributing to the agency's security governance and the security policies and procedures that support NACC's protective security obligations. Undertaking security investigations in response to any security breaches or incidents. Liaison with relevant stakeholders within the agency, external agencies and security agencies on matters relating to NACC's security, property and facilities. Provide support to security and property projects and contracts. Supporting the agencies COMSO by performing the deputy COMSO function.
