About the opportunity We are looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Macquarie, with product training to be held upon hiring. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the Management of the store and driving sales on retail hair and beauty products. Other responsibilities include: Assisting to build a customer focused retail team, training and implementing the Oz Hair and Beauty customer engagement approach on the shop floor. Deliver on sales metrics, meeting (exceeding) Oz Hair and Beauty benchmarks. Ensure loss prevention standards are within Oz Hair and Beauty benchmarks. Ensuring store wages are managed in line with predetermined wage budget by efficient rostering. Assist customers with their purchasing decision by identifying their needs and wants and suggesting suitable options. Ensure you keep up to date with all current products and ensure your team is up to date and providing customers with the correct product information and pricing. Manage and resolve all customer complaints as required. Ensure end of day procedure is completed accurately. About You You have a passion for the hair and beauty industry from your experience as a Hairdresser or Beauty Therapist, or simply an experienced retailer with a keen interest in all things hair and beauty! We are looking for someone with: Previous experience in a Store Manager or Assistant Manager role Excellent communication Strong customer service skills Ability to remain calm and focused in all circumstances Previous experience in the hair and beauty industry is highly regarded (but not essential).
