About the role Join the dynamic team as the Food & Beverage Manager. This exciting, full-time role is based in Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, one of Australia's key attractions. You will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. What you'll be doing Manage and coordinate all food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar and conference facilities. Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the food and beverage team Manage budgets and inventory to control costs Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement new ideas to enhance the guest experience Collaborate with the wider hotel management team to deliver a cohesive hospitality experience Hands on leadership and active involvement in the day-to-day operation of the department What we're looking for Previous experience (2 years) in a similar food and beverage management role within the hospitality industry Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and cost control Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory, ordering, and quality control Experience implementing successful marketing and promotional strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills $75,000 – $77,000 pa, subsidised accommodation
