Role suitability: An understanding of the criminal justice system or similar legislated work environment or alternatively demonstrated workplace experience that would evidence your ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to meet the challenges of a demanding work environment including high level planning and organisational skills that ensure multiple tasks are completed within identified timeframes. Interpersonal and negotiation skills to support service delivery in an environment where engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders is critical. Highly developed problem-solving skills to ensure issues are identified and resolved including a demonstrated ability to identify and respond appropriately to identified risks related to prisoner management. Strong written and oral communication skills and an attention to detail in this regard including in the preparation of and completion of complex reports, for both internal and external stakeholders; and Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, set priorities, monitor workflow and develop local strategies or work practices.
