The Opportunity We are on the hunt for a dynamic Procurement Officer who will lead end-to-end sourcing and category management initiatives, providing expert procurement and contract management advice to deliver commercially effective solutions for VicGrid. Working as part of a small team, this role will drive best practice, engage stakeholders across the organisation, and support business improvement initiatives with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. What you will deliver Prepare tender documents, evaluate tenders, negotiate, and award contracts, providing guidance on evaluation processes and systems. Deliver end-to-end procurement and contracting services across diverse goods, services, and construction categories, ensuring compliance with frameworks. Provide business partnering and procurement advisory services to internal stakeholders. Manage procurement and contract management records to ensure probity, accountability, and audit readiness. Contribute to reporting frameworks by identifying data needs, collecting and analysing data, escalating issues, and proposing solutions. What you will bring Tertiary qualification in commerce, business management, law, finance, procurement or relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar role. Extensive experience in procurement in a commercial, government or other large organisational settings. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advising on complex goods and services contracts, with excellent ability to analyse data to support decision making, reporting and compliance monitoring.
