As the Network Dispatcher in our Network Operations team, you will play a critical role in reviewing and validating fault information, allocating and dispatching faults to field crews for the restoration and / or repair of outages on the Ausnet Services distribution gas and electricity networks to maximise customer supply safely and reliably. This role is based in Melbourne CBD (on- site, shift work required) and is part of the Network Operations team. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Ensure performance is in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)Work autonomously to ensure safety for the public and field personnelCoordinate response to faults including:Initial assessment of the extent of the faultAccurately document the incident in Outage systemInterface to Customer Faults and Emergency team system to ensure that timely supply outage information is availableAllocate or dispatch faults to the most suitable crew/s to minimise customer restoration timeDetermine importance of faults and prioritise when appropriateDispatch other non-fault requests to field personnel according to business priorityMaintaining a high level of situational awareness and make informed decisions based on all sources of informationDocument and action significant events and accidents that are reported from the fieldNotify the ESV, emergency services and/or internal departments to AusNet Services of significant events where requiredProvides required support during emergency situations, events and/or business escalationsResponds to an incident / emergency in accordance with procedures/processesAssists in an emergency / escalated events in the communication and monitoring of an incident You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Applied experience with operational technology systems e.g. outage management systemsSound knowledge of AusNet’s electricity and gas network elementsWorking knowledge of network faults and response priorities in gas and electricity networksDemonstrated ability to identify, analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources and evaluate technical solutionsExperience in a dynamic operational environment highly regardedDisplayed digital dexterity to adopt new technologies to improve the network, customer experiences and the way we workDemonstrated owner’s mindset to prioritise decisions that put AusNet first, assessing and managing risk, considering how actions contribute to AusNet’s brand, reputation (public view, regulators, shareholders) and successAbility to remain focused and calm under high pressure, high volume, and dynamic environmentsThe ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsConsistent application of analytical / problem solving skillsThe ability to adapt and/or evolve in new/changing circumstances and adopt a change mindset to be open to new concepts and support others shift behaviours where needed A real place to belong We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
