About the business unit The Strategic Communication Branch, within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), delivers communication services on behalf of the department's business units to inform and educate community and staff members about departmental policies, programs, legislation and operations. This position works in the Digital Communication team and will be responsible for managing online channels for a variety of areas within the department. About the role We're looking for someone with experience managing complex information-based websites, and a passion for translating complicated information into digital content that is relevant, accurate and useful for the Victorian community. The Adviser, Digital Communication, will: develop and maintain a variety of digital channels ensuring they meet business and community needs produce and publish high-quality content across websites, social media, intranet and online community engagement sites work with business units and stakeholders to ensure best practice is maintained. About you You will have: well-developed written communication skills experience managing digital channels, especially complex websites, that provide relevant, accurate and useful community information experience in producing high quality, easy-to-understand and accessible content experience collaborating with subject matter experts to identify and produce digital solutions advanced understanding of best practice digital communication techniques including user research, accessibility and SEO as well as demonstrated experience in working with content management systems. Qualifications/Requirements: An appropriate tertiary qualification in journalism, communications or related field is highly desirable.
