Keen volunteers are needed to care for some of the most important bushland in the Perth Metropolitan area. You will work with the bushland staff on a five-year plan of restoration of a specified block of priority bushland, gaining experience in restoration techniques whilst learning about the fascinating flora of the Swan Coastal Plain Specific tasks include assisting with: · Bushland condition monitoring · Woody weeding · removal of invasive plant species · seed collection (summer) · planting (winter) and · assisting with Bushland conservation projects. Category Environment & Conservation Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Garden Maintenance, Time Required Volunteers will work with bushland staff fortnightly on a Thursday, from 8am for approximately two hours. Training Volunteers will receive a generic safety induction and ongoing on-the-job training in tasks.
