Introduction About the Role As Legal Counsel, you will provide clear, timely, and commercially sound legal advice to our business units. Your work will span regulatory compliance, consumer credit, marketing, commercial contracts, insurance, SMSF, property, and dispute resolution. You’ll play a key role in supporting Liberty’s corporate governance and regulatory obligations while contributing to product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Description Key Responsibilities Deliver efficient and practical legal advice tailored to business needs. Support compliance with ASX Listing Rules and other regulatory bodies (ASIC, ACCC, APRA, OAIC, AUSTRAC, AFCA). Draft and review contracts, marketing materials, and legal documentation. Assist with escalated complaints and contentious matters. Collaborate with business units on legal training, policy development, and risk mitigation. Promote Liberty’s values and contribute to a culture of learning, agility, and compliance. What We’re Looking For Qualified legal professional with experience in commercial law and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills with the ability to draft in plain English. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong internal and external relationships.
