The Role Toll Global Forwarding is in search of a high calibre Customs Broker to join the team in Melbourne. In this role you will be responsible to ensure compliance, accuracy and productivity when completing import and export clearance regulation requirement. You will have the opportunity to educate clients about customs regulations, international tariffs, shipping restrictions and insurance requirements. You will guide goods through customs, preparing and submitting documents, determining tariff and duty payments, tracking shipments and using the tariff coding system to classify shipments As the Customs Broker , you will: Understand customers' business needs, professionalism, and reliability : Focus on comprehending the specific requirements of clients and maintaining a high level of professionalism and reliability. Effect customs clearance : Handle various aspects of customs clearance, including: Classification of import products Customs valuation Lodgement of DAFF and ABF Barrier requirements PWA, Refund, and Drawback Applications SCA review Tariff advice application, when necessary Prepare customs documentation : Ensure all necessary customs documentation is accurately prepared. Ensure compliance with laws : Make sure shipments comply with all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods. Determine and track duties and taxes : Calculate and monitor duties and taxes payable, and process payments on behalf of clients. Problem solving and representation : Engage in proactive and reactive problem solving to enhance customer satisfaction, sign documents under a power of attorney, represent clients in meetings with customs officials, apply for duty refunds and tariff reclassifications, ensure deliveries are not affected by government delays, coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods, and stay updated with current market changes and customs legislation. About You Qualifications: A current Australian Customs Broker Licence Class 19.1 and 19.2 NCCC & AEPCOMM Accreditation Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience with CargoWise One (essential) Client focused with ability to conduct product audits and duty reviews Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills Accurate classification of products Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team A solutions-focused approach and a willingness to adapt to day-to-day objectives What moves you?
