At Mai-Wel, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Employment Consultant to join our Disability Employment Services (DES) team. You'll be instrumental in supporting people with disability and other barriers to secure sustainable employment. About the Role As an Employment Consultant, you will: Provide tailored case management and one-on-one support to participants Conduct initial interviews and develop individualised Job Plans Identify and address vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment Assist participants with job searching, placement, and workplace assessments Liaise with training providers, employers, and community services to support participant goals Monitor participation and ensure compliance with DES requirements Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reporting Desired Skills and Experience What You’ll Bring Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Understanding of challenges faced by long-term unemployed people with disability Current driver’s licence Demonstrated ability to thrive in a performance-focused environment Desirable: Qualification in Disability or Employment Services Experience working in the Disability Employment Services sector Tech-savvy with an ability to learn internal systems and compliance processes Additional Requirements Commitment to Mai-Wel’s Code of Conduct, policies, and WH&S procedures Ability to participate in performance reviews and contribute to a positive workplace culture Completion of required DSS Learning Centre training Ready to make a meaningful impact?
