The opportunity We’re looking for a Microsoft Fabric/Power BI Engineer to drive initiatives in empowering our client’s data-driven insights. This role is pivotal in shaping how Power BI is used across the organisation, and you will take ownership in establishing best practices, guiding technical implementations, and fostering a culture of self-service analytics. You’ll be the go-to expert for setting up Power BI platform, helping teams unlock the full potential of their data through training, governance, and hands-on support. What you’ll do Establish and Maintain Best Practices: Define, document, and continuously improve Power BI standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and performance across reports and dashboards. Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the go-to Power BI expert, advising business units, analysts, and IT teams on optimal usage, architecture, and governance. Run Learning Sessions: Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums to upskill internal teams. Platform Governance: Support the setup, governance, and ongoing management of SEO-managed Microsoft Fabric and Power BI platforms. Technical Support: Provide hands-on assistance and troubleshooting for complex Power BI issues, including data modelling, DAX optimization, and report performance tuning. Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the go-to Power BI expert, advising business units, analysts, and IT teams on optimal usage, architecture, and governance. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in Power BI consulting, enablement or enterprise BI strategy. Deep knowledge of Power BI architecture, DAX, Power Query, and data visualisation best practices. Experience with Microsoft Fabric Strong communication and facilitation skills, with a passion for teaching and enabling others.
