Description We are seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing and Communications Advisor to shape and drive our organisation’s marketing and communications strategy. This key role will work closely with the executive leadership team to amplify our vision and ensure culturally appropriate messaging that supports our strategic direction. In this highly autonomous position, you will lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communication plans, create engaging content across multiple platforms, and strengthen relationships with key media, government, and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with organisational goals. Create compelling content for social media, website, newsletters, and press releases. Ensure all communications are culturally appropriate and community focused. Build and manage strong media and funding partner relationships. Support executive leadership with speech writing, briefings, and stakeholder messaging. Drive internal communications that promote engagement and alignment. Evaluate and report on campaign outcomes and continuously improve tactics. Lead initiatives to promote Nunkuwarrin Yunti’s values, mission, and impact. Skills And Experiences Essential: Tertiary qualification in Health Manager, Business or similar field or relevant experience appropriate to the role. Experience in managing client focused service functions, preferably in a health environment. Demonstrated leadership qualities including the ability to motivate others and to adopt a teamwork approach to achieve organisational objectives. Ability to effectively negotiate and communicate at a senior level with Government and non-government agencies including key stakeholders and funding providers. Proven capacity for innovative thought and action, significant and proven abilities as a change agent for delivery and improved policies and practices, including the ability to recognise opportunities and promote the positive involvement of others in change initiatives. Excellent ability to express clear and meaningful goals and the ability to define the necessary approaches and required courses of action. Highly developed communication skills, including public presentation, relationship management and consultation. Pragmatic, responsive, and able to deal with an extensive span of issues. Significant ability in financial management and ability to provide support in areas such as budget planning, business planning etc. Significant ability in human resource management to motivate staff and achieve organisational goals. Significant ability and/or understanding of health systems development and applications of business technologies to the health industry. Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and Aboriginal health issues. Computing and IT skills appropriate to the position Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles. Desirable: Previous leadership experience in a community/ health service industry. Previous experience working with Aboriginal people and organisations, particularly in Aboriginal health related areas at a senior level.
