Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital To provide technical support and associated services to the Cardiac Vascular Intervention Unit for the performance of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies. The Position Programs and operates physiological monitoring equipment and is responsible for the interpretation and recording of physiological cardiovascular measurements in accordance with the requirements of each consultant. Programs and operates computerised electrophysiology equipment and stimulator in a cost efficient manner and records and retrieves data from the system. Assists in the preparation of the patient, defibrillates and participates in patient resuscitation. Calibrates and coordinates maintenance of electrophysiology equipment. Maintains adequate stock levels of consumables used in electrophysiology studies. Evaluates and recommends new techniques and procedures in collaboration with senior suite caregivers and clinicians. Keeps and maintains relevant patient records in relation to procedural data as applicable Undertakes formal and informal education of all caregivers in relation to Electrophysiology studies. You will hold qualifications in Cardiopulmonary Technology in particular NASPE qualification, Mayfield or equivalent. You will have significant experience within the Angiography Suite setting as a Cardiac Technician including extensive experience in: ECG recording and interpretation Haemodynamic monitoring Electrophysiology and catheter ablation To succeed you will have highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills along with advanced written and verbal communication.
