About the role: We are currently seeking dedicated Residential Care Leaders who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. This role manages NDIS participants goals and focuses on enhancing residents’ social, emotional, and daily living capabilities across supported accommodation, group homes, and individual residences. You will also collaborate with community stakeholders Location: Sydney, NSW Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually Role: Full-time Positions available : Multiple Key responsibilities include: Deliver person-cantered care by providing emotional, social, and psychological support in a residential setting. Assess and respond to residents’ holistic needs including health, housing, employment, and welfare services Monitor and report health changes or behavioural concerns to clinical professionals, including responding to emergencies, their family members, and follow safety protocols. Prepare reports and submissions related to funding and resources for submission to NIDS and other agencies as appropriate Facilitate cultural and community connections to enhance a sense of belonging for each participant Maintain up-to-date records of care, incident reports, medication logs, and other administrative tasks in line with compliance standards Communicate effectively with residents, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support resident needs. Liaise with institutions on behalf of the residents for funding and access to facilities Take initiative in resolving service delivery issues and refer clients to appropriate community and self-help agencies. Provided leadership and assistance in the implementation of pilot projects for residents’ well-being and community inclusion. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior support staff and contribute to a culture of learning and professional growth. Required qualification: Minimum qualification of Diploma in community services or equivalent qualification in a related field. In absence, of relevant qualification, three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. Relevant Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of Australian industry experience preferably in disability/mental health setting/aged care/residential care setting is preferred. Experience in leadership role is highly regarded Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership mindset in team-based environments Proven ability to build supportive, trusting relationships with residents Deep understanding of NDIS operations and person-centered care principles in Australia Valid First Aid Certificate and Manual Handling Training Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Competent in documentation, case management, and time management Capacity to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision Sound judgement, patience, and empathy in high-pressure scenarios.
