The Technology Sourcing Branch and Procurement Branch are seeking experienced staff with procurement and/or contract management skills to join the team. Senior Procurement and Contract Management officers within the Division work within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high quality delivery of a range of procurement and contract management activities. They have a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the consistent delivery of procurement and contract management services. The Branches have multiple vacancies for Senior Procurement and/or Contract Management Officers who bring experience in the following areas: Advising on major procurements sourcing large, complex and/or strategic requirements. Complex contract management experience, such as with Whole of Australian Government vendors. Leading the procurement and vendor management of labour hire contractors. Leading procurement and management of hardware and software contracts. Interest and experience in these areas, or the ability to quickly gain skills, will be highly regarded. The key duties of the position include Providing specialist advice and support on the application of relevant legislative and administrative arrangements to inform efficient, effective, economical, and ethical decision making in the agency. Developing and reviewing a range of contract management documentation including preparation of contracts, official orders, risk plans, variations, and related correspondence. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations and risks while escalating when required. Effectively communicating procurement and contract management policy and guidance to stakeholders. Developing and implementing changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies and assist team to transition with change. Motivating, guiding, and developing staff and identifying opportunities to enhance team performance.
