Your Role As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support the nursing/midwifery team in the delivery of a high standard general patient care as directed. The AIN carries out their duties as directed by, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife. The Position Certificate III in Health Service Assistant (Client/Patient Services) or similar; or significant work experience such that meet the competencies and duties of the role. Ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to identify work priorities and plan to meet them. Demonstrate effectiveness in working in a team environment. Food handling skills including hygiene standards. You will have an understanding of and commitment to Quality Improvement and Infection Control standards and basic knowledge of principles of manual handling, cleanliness and hygiene standards, To succeed you will demonstrate well developed communication and interpersonal skills and can follow instructions from Registered nurse/Midwives regarding learning requirements and seek assistance to achieve identified goals.
