Specialising in the import and distribution of advanced heavy vehicle technology, including diesel and fully electric trucks, the company is rapidly growing its footprint across the country. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and experienced Trade assistant to join the team preparing brand-new heavy road vehicles for delivery. The role involves working hands-on with new-build prime movers and rigid trucks, ensuring each unit is road-ready, compliant, and aligned to client specifications, carrying out inspections, fit-outs, and maintenance in preparation for delivery. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive workshop team, working Monday to Friday in a modern facility with excellent tools and strong leadership. If you enjoy hands-on work with new equipment, have strong mechanical aptitude, and are seeking long-term growth in a business on the rise – this is the role for you. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections on new imported trucks Complete pre-delivery adjustments, fit-outs and compliance checks Perform fault diagnosis, repairs and accessory installations Work with internal teams to meet delivery timelines and quality standards Maintain accurate records and adhere to workshop safety procedures Work to deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship Support a collaborative team environment in a modern workshop Get hands-on with cutting-edge diesel and electric vehicles Clean, well-equipped workshop with a collaborative culture Training and upskilling provided, with exposure to evolving vehicle tech Be part of a growing national business with long-term opportunity No weekend work – stable Monday to Friday schedule What We’re Looking For Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or experience as a mechanical Trade Assistant Valid driver’s licence Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills High attention to detail and pride in workmanship A valid A.C. licence (advantageous but not essential) Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience with prime movers and/or rigid trucks is highly desirable A proactive, team-oriented mindset What’s On Offer Competitive Salary super Temp-to-perm opportunity available for the right candidate Consistent Monday to Friday hours – 9am to 5pm Long-term career prospects and upskilling opportunities Collaborative, non-micromanaged team culture Immediate start available Apply Now If you’re looking to build your career in a stable, high-growth environment with modern tools and great people, we’d love to hear from you.
