Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital The Anaesthetic Technician/Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient care, with special regard to all types of anaesthesia and maintenance of associated equipment. We have casual opportunities across our perioperative services including Main Theatre, Subiaco Eye Hospital and Short Stay Unit. The Position Act as the patient advocate. Preserve patient confidentiality. Deliver competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in both routine and emergency situations. Ensure patient safety throughout the anaesthetic phase, in particular with respect to the nominated position of the patient. Participate in the daily maintenance of associated anaesthetic equipment Contribute to the orientation and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers and other Operating Rooms caregivers. Cooperate with preceptorship of student technicians and new caregivers. Act as an anaesthetic resource for Operating Rooms caregivers. Actively participate in internal and external learning programs. You will hold a Certificate IV and/or Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and have obtained additional competencies relevant to the individual workplace with knowledge of standards of practice relevant to your position and have at least one to two years' clinical experience. For an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, you will hold current registration with AHPRA. To succeed you will have the ability to solve problems, or seek help from appropriate resources, implement the care plan/care path under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and work without direct supervision and in less stable conditions.
