The Role: As an experienced Account Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring growth and long-term relationship success of new and existing clients. You will be responsible for managing and driving profitable business with contractors and specialty retailers within your nominated region. An understanding of commercial project management and key account management is also key to successfully pursue new end users and clients and deliver on key business objectives. Frequent domestic travel is a requirement for this role to be able to strengthen existing relationships and identify new business opportunities. Key responsibilities: Manage and drive profitable business within your region. Account Relationship Management – build and maintain relationships with the assigned customer base, being the conduit of information, including product updates, price movements, technical updates and required reporting. Manage and grow new and existing flooring contractor accounts. Achieve targets across, revenue, margin, growth, business growth from both new and existing accounts in your region Coordinate sales forecasts to assist with profit projections and the Demand Planning process. Develop quarterly activities & KPI's, which will inform and drive your success. Maintain the CRM with accurate records and data to maximise project management and sales. Analyse key market data within your territory to enhance and enable competitive strategic planning. What we're after: You are a passionate, organised and driven individual with experience working within the building, construction, flooring or interior finishings market. You have a successful track record of maintaining existing relationships while building new business with concrete financial results and above all, are positive, energetic, and motivated to bring new ideas and add value to the business. You’re a team player; hard-working, patient, approachable, and you know how to get the job done! You’ll enjoy planned domestic travel to visit different clients within the State and you’re happy with the occasional overnight stay where required. Skills: 3 years’ experience in B2B sales/account management within the building and construction, manufacturing, interior finishing, plumbing or flooring industry (or similar) Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to prioritise, organise and forecast work with a strong attention to detail Experience with CRM systems and MS Office applications Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs Willing and able to undertake frequent domestic travel Hold an unrestricted Drivers Licence Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residenc y (unfortunately we cannot accommodate visa holders or offer sponsorship at this time) Why Gerflor?
