Key Responsibilities: Plan and direct daily food preparation and cooking activities. Create and adjust menus to meet quality and customer satisfaction standards. Estimate food needs, manage inventory, and control kitchen costs. Supervise kitchen staff and foster a positive, efficient team culture. Ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Train and onboard new kitchen staff as required. Respond to customer feedback and resolve kitchen-related issues. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OH&S regulations. Maintain clear food safety records and documentation. Plan kitchen rosters and manage supply orders effectively. Demonstrate cooking techniques and mentor junior staff. Promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Efficiently manage prep and service period operations. Qualifications & Requirements: Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen. Strong leadership and kitchen management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of culinary trends and kitchen workflow best practices. Proficiency in MS Office, POS systems, and restaurant software. Relevant food safety and OH&S training certifications. Culinary qualification or food service management diploma (preferred).
