Purpose of the Role The Mortgage Broker plays a pivotal role within our client’s lending team, offering tailored mortgage solutions to a wide range of customers. This role is responsible for driving lending growth through exceptional customer service, strong referral networks, and a deep understanding of lending products and processes. The role also contributes to shaping our client’s innovative, customer-first lending model. Key Responsibilities Guide clients through the entire lending journey—from needs analysis and product recommendations to application and loan settlement. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing ongoing support and identifying new lending and referral opportunities. Expand personal and professional networks to generate additional leads and lending opportunities. Stay up-to-date with our client’s tools, systems, and processes to deliver consistent and efficient customer experiences. Apply knowledge of credit policies and procedures to ensure successful outcomes for clients. Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities that meet customer needs and support our client’s growth strategy. Collaborate closely with the Loan Processing team to ensure timely and accurate loan processing. Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of our client’s lending processes and client experience. Demonstrate and uphold our client’s core values: Fiercely Pro-Consumer Fairness Hyper Transparency Data Driven Fun Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience and proven success as a home lender or mortgage broker. Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (Diploma preferred). Strong CRM experience and ability to work with digital lending tools. Outstanding communication skills—both verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple clients and priorities. Highly motivated and customer-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
