About the Role We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to enhance and oversee our client's Environmental Management System. Reporting to the Manager, you will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and contribute to the sustainable development of our client's operations. Located in the Central Bowen Basin. Responsibilities Implement and manage the Environmental Management System, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and sustainability practices. Coordinate with government bodies for license amendments, compliance, and cultural heritage clearances, and manage annual government reporting. Execute the Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan, oversee rehabilitation projects, and develop monitoring programs for effective land restoration. Supervise consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental standards, including audits, surveys, and control measures. Manage and maintain environmental data records, including GIS and database platforms, and oversee groundwater and surface water monitoring. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or similar. Preferred Skills Leadership experience is highly desirable.
