What you’ll do As Performance Account Director, you’ll provide strategic leadership across client accounts, manage and foster client relationships, and drive account growth. Your expertise in digital marketing and team leadership will enable you to deliver innovative, results-oriented solutions that enhance client satisfaction and ensure successful campaign outcomes. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the following: Strategic Leadership & Account Growth Drive the development of integrated digital marketing strategies aligned with client goals. Oversee client account management processes, supporting the Head of Performance. Identify and leverage upsell and cross-sell opportunities, collaborating with business development to support proposals and pitches. Implement efficient processes and tools that enhance client service delivery for account management. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary contact for key clients, fostering long-term relationships and trust. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions tailored to client needs. Act as a strategic advisor, providing best-practice insights and trend-based recommendations. Campaign Strategy & Execution Oversee planning, execution, and optimisation of campaigns across various channels (Social, Search, Programmatic etc.), ensuring they meet KPIs and client objectives. Coordinate with internal teams (Creative, Account Management, Performance) for seamless campaign delivery. Lead data-driven performance reporting, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Team Leadership & Development Manage, mentor, and develop a team of account managers and performance specialists, ensuring a high-performance culture. Facilitate skill development and career progression through structured mentoring and feedback. Collaborate with team members on individual development plans, supporting career path progression. Performance Analytics & Optimisation Monitor and analyse campaign performance to identify improvement opportunities. Foster data-driven decision-making, leveraging insights for strategy refinement. Stay updated on digital trends and tools, integrating innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge. Market & Industry Insights Keep informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Share insights with clients and internal teams to maintain competitiveness and drive innovation. Represent the agency at industry events, enhancing visibility and reputation. Experience you’ll bring The ideal candidate is always positive and thoughtful, a straight shooter, and a team player. They’ll also have: Minimum of 5 years in digital marketing with an account management focus. Senior Account Manager or Account Director equivalent within an agency preferable. Demonstrated experience in team leadership, fostering collaboration and high performance. Proficient in data interpretation and performance metric analysis. Strong capability in formulating and executing digital marketing strategies. Excellent verbal and written skills; experienced in client presentations and negotiations. Qualification in Marketing, Business, or related field. Proficiency across digital channels, including PPC, SEO, Content, Social, and Programmatic. Experience growing revenue, managing budgets, and participating in new business pitches. Strong attention to detail, with time management and reporting experience.
