How you’ll make an impact The Platforms business includes superannuation, retirement, and investment products through which managed funds, managed portfolios, listed securities, term deposits and guarantee options can be accessed to build a personalised investment portfolio. North is an award winning smart online wrap platform which continues to deliver on its commitment of strengthening and broadening investment choice for our clients. It is a key growth engine for AMP and has significant investment approved to support its strategic growth plans. Develop and strengthen strategic commercial relationships with asset consultants to identify and capitalise on opportunities that drive North platform sales and transitions. Partner with asset consultants, and AMP’s Managed Portfolio team, to align AMP’s platform solutions with the bespoke needs of advice businesses and their clients. Main focus areas will include but not limited to: Strategic Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with asset consultants, including AMP’s in-house team, licensee teams, and independent consultants. Develop partnership models and strategic initiatives that deliver value to asset consultants and their clients. Facilitate introductions between asset consultants and AMP’s wealth distribution key stakeholders Sales Enablement: Identify sales opportunities through asset consultant partnerships for execution by the National Sales and Business Development teams. Work collaboratively with sales teams to position North as the preferred platform during transitions to bespoke portfolios, such as SMAs, or the adoption of new retirement product solutions. Deliver prospect leads to the sales teams and support joint pitching efforts to advisers and licensees. Commercial and Wholesale Models: Oversee and grow innovative commercial models and initiatives such as the "Federated Portfolios" program to enhance market impact. Develop and negotiate commercial models and wholesale pricing structures tailored to select asset consultant firms. Individual Performance Influence North as the chosen platform (in partnership with National Sales team colleagues and Business Development Sales team colleagues) as part of adviser businesses changing their investment approach – including as part of a transition to a bespoke SMA or the introduction of new retirement product solutions Enable and support National Sales team and Business Development Sales teams to achieve North platform sales targets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Platform Sales Growth: Increase in North platform sales and transitions driven by asset consultant partnerships. Relationship Development: Strength and expansion of strategic relationships with key asset consultants. Market Impact: Successful delivery of initiatives like Federated Portfolios and tailored commercial models. Sales Team Enablement: Effective collaboration with National and Business Development Sales teams, leading to measurable success in joint efforts. Day to day responsibilities include: Identifying current and emerging Asset Consultants Working with Asset Consultants across the market to develop and nurture commercial relationships and partnerships Connecting Asset Consultants with AMP wealth distribution key persons Joint pitching with Asset Consultants to advisers and licensees Managing and growing the ‘Federated Portfolios’ initiative Developing new commercial models and wholesale pricing for select Asset Consultant firms Joint adviser appointments with members of the various wealth distribution teams Accountable for the completion of assigned projects, processes or programs What you will bring to the team Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 5 years' relevant professional and/or management experience, and industry/tertiary qualifications (or comparable "on the job" experience) Financial Planning qualifications Extensive experience in managed accounts Experience in strategic selling. Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with asset consultants and licensees. Background in financial planning or related fields. CFA desirable Degree or post graduate qualifications in a finance related discipline is highly desirable Managed Accounts Expertise: In-depth knowledge of managed accounts and bespoke portfolio structures. Relationship Building: Proven ability to cultivate and manage strong relationships with asset consultants, licensees, and financial advice businesses. Strategic Selling: Experience in influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. Financial Advice Expertise: Understanding of financial advice business operations and needs Acts autonomously on most decisions. Requires guidance on more complex judgements Applies strong understanding of a specialised discipline and basic to intermediate understanding of other disciplines Applies competent understanding of own Sub‐Division and Division, the overall Group and its competitive environment Advanced understanding of functional area and a competent understanding of the overall firm and competitive environment Provides input into new products, processes, standards or business plans in support of BU/Group strategy, with some impact on results for a division Applies intermediate technical capability within some areas of a line of business/function within a BU Analyses difficult problems and issues; and improves or modifies existing methods and processes in own work area You’ll thrive here if… If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you’ll do well here.
