We are seeking an experienced Storeman to take the lead on daily delivery operations for a privately owned and operated business. This permanent, full-time role offers extended working hours from 7 – 5 and the opportunity to take ownership of a critical part of the warehouse operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing daily delivery runs, managing a team of six drivers, and coordinating outgoing orders to ensure customers receive the right goods on time. You’ll also act as the key contact point for internal requests, managing inbox communications from the sales and customer service teams. Key Responsibilities: Plan and schedule daily delivery runs for six drivers Pick, pack and prepare outbound orders for despatch Communicate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely deliveries Manage the shared inbox for despatch requests from sales and customer service teams Book freight and complete documentation for outgoing goods Maintain a clean and organised despatch area Support the warehouse team with general duties as required Key Requirements: Previous experience in a despatch or warehouse coordination role Strong organisational and communication skills Comfortable leading a small team and making decisions under pressure Forklift licence and valid driver’s licence Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment Computer literacy and confidence using email and freight booking systems We’re looking for someone with a hands-on approach who enjoys taking ownership of their work and thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment.
