About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Kuitpo milling facility. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of plant and equipment across the site. You will work closely with the Site Manager and broader operations team to respond to breakdowns, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and reduce equipment downtime - ensuring the mill operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Conduct mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on sawmill and dry mill machinery Minimise equipment downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns and fault-finding issues Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules and systems Organise and oversee contractors for specialised work when required Support shutdown planning and execution for both minor and major projects Order and manage spare parts and maintenance inventory Ensure all tasks are completed in line with site safety protocols and regulations Report directly to the Site Manager and provide support to leadership as needed Skills & Qualifications Essential: Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Machining or similar) Strong experience in hydraulics and pneumatics Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities Strong commitment to safety and quality work practices Full, unrestricted Driver's Licence Desirable: Intermediate Boiler Ticket B Class Electrical Licence Forklift High Risk Licence (LF) What's on Offer Monday to Friday roster - rural lifestyle opportunity Supportive team environment in a small, efficient operation Monthly performance bonus scheme Overtime available when required Opportunities for career growth into a supervisory position If you are keen on finding out more please reach out to brian at or 0472557142
