As a Platform Services Engineer , you'll play a key role in supporting and modernising the multi-cloud infrastructure during an exciting period of digital transformation. Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens, eligible to obtain ASGVA Baseline Security Clearance As a Platform Services Engineer, you'll work across a broad range of technologies to support the health and performance of compute and storage platforms. You'll collaborate across IT teams and with external partners to deliver resilient and secure infrastructure that supports Australia's energy operations. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day platform operations including incident response, monitoring, patching, and upgrades Maintain and improve storage and data protection infrastructure Provide expert administration and support across Microsoft server technologies and OS builds Resolve infrastructure issues in collaboration with Microsoft and other support vendors Enforce IT standards and ensure compliance with audit and security requirements Contribute to the successful delivery of technology projects within scope and budget Develop and document procedures, ensuring repeatability and audit readiness Work closely with internal stakeholders and market participants to resolve system issues Follow ITIL-aligned change and incident management processes Share knowledge and mentor peers across the Platform Services team Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in platform support and infrastructure operations Proven ability to build and manage infrastructure using tools such as Ansible , Terraform , and OpenShift Solid Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments Strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies (M365, Teams, Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, clustering) Hands-on experience with hybrid infrastructure (on-prem VMware, Dell, Pure Storage, Data Domain) Knowledge of networking and security concepts Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and automation skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities We are actively interviewing for this role, please apply, or share CV directly to zburgess@welvoesalt.com Acknowledgement of Country Salt respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands across Australia as the continuing custodians of country and culture.
