About the Role As the Group Tax Manager, you’ll spearhead a growing tax function within a dynamic financial services group specialising in diversified lending products. You will lead and develop a high-performing tax team, ensure strong governance and compliance across all tax matters, and drive strategic tax initiatives. Partnering closely with senior finance, legal, and risk stakeholders, you’ll support the organisation’s growth while maintaining rigorous tax governance and risk management frameworks. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full tax function, ensuring compliance and strategic optimisation; Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for tax professionals across the team; Oversee tax reporting, planning, and advisory activities across corporate, direct, and indirect tax streams; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed tax strategy into business decision-making; Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian tax legislation, governance, and regulatory requirements; Support business growth through tax structuring, acquisitions, and risk management; and Drive continuous improvement and innovation in tax processes and systems. What We’re Looking For CA/CPA qualified with extensive tax experience, preferably 8 years in a senior tax role; Proven leadership in managing tax teams within financial services or a related sector; Strong technical knowledge across corporate, indirect, and international tax; Excellent stakeholder management skills with a strategic and commercial mindset; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a collaborative approach; and Experience working with external advisors and regulators.
