Job Description Test Analyst About our client: Our client is a well-known and prestigious multinational consultancy who is working with a Federal Government end client on a highly impactful project benefiting the Australian people. Must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this position. Key responsibilities will include: The Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of mainframe applications written in COBOL. The Test Analyst will work closely with development teams to understand the functionality and requirements of the applications, and to identify potential issues and risks. The Test Analyst will also be responsible for documenting test results, reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. The successful candidate: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience in mainframe testing, with a focus on COBOL applications Strong knowledge of mainframe testing methodologies and COBOL programming Experience with testing tools such as IBM Rational Test Manager or Micro Focus ALM Experience in Mainframe test automation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Desired Attributes and Skills: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and mainframe modernization projects Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mainframe applications Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or Python Experience with mainframe virtualization technologies, such as z/VM or z/OS LPARs What's on offer?
