We are seeking qualified and experienced chef that is looking to step into being a part of the growth of our business and contribute to running this high-volume kitchen. We are located at Coburg Victoria. The job duties include (not limited to): · Prepare and cook all food orders whilst ensuring quality and presentation is maintained. · Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies. · Ensure par levels of dry goods are maintained. · Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards. · Ensure service in the kitchen is consistently fast and efficient and report all matters to the Management as required. · Supervise all team members within your area of responsibility including kitchen hands. · Ensuring food used for preparation and cooking is fresh. · Maintain clean working space and follow sanitation procedures. · Liaise with F&B service team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions and any changes to the menu. · Check all food is stored and handled as per current food health and hygiene regulations. · Work with the other team members in Kitchen and Front house to resolve any guest complaints regarding the quality of food. · Instruct, train and develop cooks or junior kitchen staff · Discuss with the restaurant manager any equipment purchases and repairs required To be considered for the role you should: · Hold relevant qualifications and minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a chef. Knowledge of · safe food handling procedures with relevant qualifications be able to work in both a team environment and individually.
