About Us Sunnyfield is about people. Our mission is to enrich the lives of people with disability by creating choice, opportunities and skills for life. Working together with families, friends, providers, and staff, Sunnyfield supports a brighter future for people with disability. Why hello there I’m not great at small talk, so if you don’t mind, I’ll move straight into why I’m trying to get your attention. We’re looking for a HR Business Partner. More importantly, we’re looking for the right HRBP. A HRBP who can support the amazing teams we work with and who complements our team. Complementing the team doesn’t mean you’re a copy of who we are. We’d love it if you bought experiences and perspectives that are different. I kinda think that helps us to create a better team who delivers better services to the business. The one thing we absolutely need, is for you to understand the core work of the HRBP and have some experience doing that work. While we’re all for learning together, this isn’t a starter role. You need to hold your own. You’ll understand the Australian employment relations framework we operate in and how it applies to the advice you give and the outcomes you recommend. You need to know it well enough that you understand where there’s wiggle room. This helps you to find better solutions that meet the needs of the people involved. You don’t need to have worked in disability or community services before. You do need to be curious enough to get in and understand how our sector works and what the people in our business need. If you’re coming from corporate, be prepared to adapt! You coach leaders rather than making them reliant on you. You know darn well the job is more fulfilling when managers have the skills to do their bit, and you get to work on the fun people stuff. I’ve never understood those HR folk who make their managers too terrified to talk to their own people with scary tales of expensive court cases. You’ll be supporting teams in Western Sydney, the Hills District, Southern Sydney, and the ACT. We support work from home, but love getting out and visiting services. We’ve got an office in Mt Druitt if you’re tired of active wear at home, and we like to meet up in Frenchs Forest once a week which is where our head office is. And don’t knock this, but a cover letter that doesn’t sound like a cover letter can be good. It’s advertising space. We want to get to know you. It’s an opportunity to start a conversation. If you start it with Dear Sir or Madam though I might have a little cry. If you have questions, call Kylie on 0426 933 286 or APPLY NOW! Successful candidates will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 and complete employment screening checks such as a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
