As part of our expanding operations, we are seeking 2 Full Time skilled and dedicated Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our dynamic team. ABOUT THE ROLE The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You will be working on diverse projects including large-scale HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and customised climate control solutions. Your key responsibilities will be as follows: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Interpret technical drawings and job specifications to determine installation guidelines and component placements. Install and connect system components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, gauges, and control switches. Conduct system testing by filling units with refrigerant or testing fluids to inspect for system leaks and performance inconsistencies. Prepare installation sites by positioning mounting brackets and assembling pipework through cutting, bending, and threading, ensuring proper routing and support for system components. Securely connect equipment by bolting, riveting, welding, and brazing pipes, with a focus on achieving precise alignment and accurate fitting to ensure system integrity and performance. Perform functional checks, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or replacement of malfunctioning components. Re-calibrate system settings and controls for optimal efficiency and performance. Maintain accurate service records detailing fault diagnoses and rectification measures. Comply with all relevant safety, regulatory, and licensing requirements. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Certificate III in Airconditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent qualification. Minimum 1 year of hands-on industry experience in air conditioning and refrigeration service and repair. ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence is mandatory Restricted electrical licence is mandatory. VRV/VRF installation and troubleshooting hands on experience required. Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Sound understanding of refrigeration cycles and HVAC system operation. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Current and valid driver’s license.
