Product Owner – Data Products Location : Sydney (4 days in office) Sponsorship and relocation available We are hiring a Product Owner to lead the development of new data-led products for a high-growth Australian technology company working with global airline clients. This role is suited to someone who has worked with complex, large-scale datasets and understands how to turn data into commercially valuable, client-facing solutions. You do not need prior airline experience, but you must be confident working with structured and unstructured data from external systems (e.g. bookings, transactions, logs), and experienced in building proof-of-concepts and guiding products from idea to launch. You will work closely with internal teams and directly with clients to shape and validate new product opportunities across areas such as audit, automation, distribution, and reporting. Responsibilities Own the development of new data products from concept to launch Translate client needs into productised solutions using complex datasets Define and prioritise product roadmap, features, and backlog Build proof-of-concepts using SQL or similar to validate ideas with real data Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and executive teams on execution Engage directly with clients during solution design, feedback, and product reviews Own product KPIs and measure commercial outcomes post-launch Contribute to long-term product strategy and roadmap development Requirements Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for data or analytics products Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar hands-on data roles Proficient in SQL and confident manipulating structured and unstructured data Able to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources Strong commercial mindset and ability to design usable, scalable solutions Comfortable engaging with clients and leading solution discussions Strong collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders Experience delivering B2B or platform products in agile environments Desirable Experience in domains such as logistics, billing, pricing, audit, or finance Prior work with airline, travel, or transport data (not essential) Familiarity with data tools such as dbt, Snowflake, or Looker Experience building data products for external customers or operational teams Exposure to data privacy, compliance, or data quality frameworks This is a permanent, Sydney-based role with four days per week in the office.
