What You’ll Do Join our International Tax team, where you’ll: Build relationships with multinational clients, getting to know their businesses and working closely with their tax and finance teams. Lead a variety of client engagements—big, small, simple, and complex. Advise clients on tricky cross-border tax issues. Draft well-researched tax opinions, including coordinating advice from KPMG teams around the world. Mentor and guide junior consultants. Grow your network across KPMG’s Tax & Legal division in Australia and our global firm. You’ll need strong commercial sense and experience in corporate or international tax. Your Key Responsibilities Tackle international tax issues and provide clear, practical advice to major corporate and private clients. Structure cross-border deals—helping with acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments. Advise clients on the latest OECD tax developments (like BEPS). Support clients with overseas investments, ensuring compliance with global tax rules. Analyze tax treaties and foreign tax regimes to guide clients on their impact. Prepare and review tax returns (including International Dealings Schedules, Reportable Tax Positions, and CFC calculations). Assist with ATO and FIRB queries on transactions. Qualifications & Experience A degree in law or commerce, with post-grad studies in accounting or tax (preferred). Experience in corporate or international tax, ideally from a professional services firm (in-house experience also counts!). The ability to write clear, well-researched tax opinions.
