The Opportunity An exciting leadership opportunity has opened for a motivated person to take on the role of Manager of Works and Services and be part of a dynamic management team. This position provides a great opportunity to be involved in a progressive Shire that has a strong focus on maintaining an excellent road network, and on ensuring that the works and services department delivers for the community. The Tasks Ahead Directly supervise and manage the works (construction and maintenance) program. Direct and control all aspects of service delivery by the Shire in the works and services sector, and to ensure all tasks budgeted by Council and as directed by the Chief Executive Officer are carried out in an efficient and timely manner to a high standard. Provide professional assistance, information, advice and reports to Council, the Chief Executive Officer, staff, the public, public authorities and others, as required. Provide strong leadership and management of the work crews and be an active contributing member of the senior management team. About You You are a driven and results oriented leader who can demonstrate the following: Strong knowledge and experience in supervision of road construction and maintenance Experience in infrastructure asset management Developed project and contractor management skills Strong people and leadership skills Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal PLEASE NOTE.
