About the Role We are seeking a Occupational Therapist to join our national Allied Health team, primarily servicing South East Melbourne. This is a mobile and flexible role that involves delivering both face-to-face and Telehealth support to individuals participating in vocational education and employment programs. You will work closely with local delivery teams and a national Allied Health framework to provide outcome-driven interventions that improve participants' work readiness, health and well-being. Please note: This role requires interstate travel and may evolve as new opportunities emerge. Key Responsibilities Functional Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, psychological, and cognitive abilities to determine their capacity to perform work-related tasks. Workplace Assessments: Visit workplaces to evaluate job demands, identify risks, and recommend modifications or assistive equipment to support safe return to work. Return-to-Work Planning: Develop and implement tailored return-to-work (RTW) programs in collaboration with employers, insurers, and other stakeholders. Injury Prevention: Provide education and training on ergonomics, manual handling, and injury prevention strategies. Case Management: Coordinate rehabilitation services, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to support recovery and sustainable employment. Liaison and Reporting: Communicate with treating doctors, insurers, employers, and other allied health professionals. Prepare detailed reports and documentation in line with legal and professional standards. Vocational Counseling: Assist clients in identifying alternative employment options if returning to their previous role is not feasible. About You You are a proactive, client-centered practitioner who's passionate about making a difference. You are looking for more than just a job-you want to help build a growing Allied Health service and be part of a collaborative national team. You'll ideally bring: Experience delivering Allied Health services in employment, education, or community settings. A willingness to contribute to business development-you don't need to be an expert, but you're open to learning and engaging. Strong clinical, communication, and time management skills. The ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team. Essential: current registration with AHPRA as an OT.
