Senior Network Security Architect (Hybrid) 6-Month Contract | Likely Extension Up to $1300/day inc. super I'm helping an Australian-owned industry leader assist them in finding a Senior Network Security Architect to drive the design and delivery of next-generation secure network infrastructure. You'll bring have a strong background in high-level network architecture, security design, and SD-WAN integration. You'll work closely with engineering and operational teams to shape secure, scalable, and robust network environments across enterprise and data centre domains. What you'll be doing: Lead the architecture and design of secure network solutions, across both greenfield initiatives and upgrades to existing infrastructure Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to deliver scalable architectures using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies Define high- and low-level designs for enterprise and data centre networks, with a focus on Cisco routing, switching, and ASA/Firepower Drive the implementation of SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela or Meraki) across distributed environments Contribute to firewall design, segmentation strategies, and security zoning using both Cisco and Palo Alto platforms Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and architects within the team Document architecture and transition plans, and support handover to operational teams What experience/deliverables you'll bring: 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3 years in senior or architecture-level roles Proven experience as a senior network or security architect Strong background in Cisco networks, firewalls, and SD-WAN design Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise security principles Solid understanding of BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and network segmentation Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and mentor others
