On the back of growing our contract with Sydney Water (West) we are looking to appoint a Project Engineer within our Facilities Projects team. The Role: The Project Engineer is responsible for the management and timely delivery of Facilities Maintenance projects for Sydney Water. You will work effectively with our existing Project Managers, Supervisors, Subcontractors and trades teams to deliver works efficiently, safely and to budget. Responsibilities will include: Support project management in the timely and cost-effective delivery of assigned projects Project scope definition and management of scope creep Development and coordination of sub-contract tender packages Sub-contractor liaison, coordination, and management Ensure full compliance with project requirements, particularly project specifications and deviation processes Provide technical guidance in areas of subject matter expertise, and coordinate other stakeholders to seek their subject matter expertise where required Manage documentation and compliance What you will need: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering Effective communication skills, influencing ability and sound decision-making skills Prior experience in projects in an industrial or water facility would be highly desired Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes Competence in the application of project management principles Experience in MS Project desirable Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel required Full clean driver’s licence Based in Western Sydney Benefits If you have experience in this area and are willing to contribute as part of a high performing team with a positive attitude, this is a perfect role for you.
