We are on the hunt for an estimator to join our team in Mackay. This is a Permanent, Full Time position working, Monday to Friday out of our Commercial Avenue facility in Paget. As an Estimator at Hastings Deering, you will: Develop Estimating Plans, define the requirements, Scope of Work and WBS, identify input requirements, key stakeholders and responsibilities required to satisfy the request. Engage with all stakeholders (internal and external) and coordinate the development of the quote for submission in time and to satisfy customer requirements Contribute to the development and implementation of Pricing Policies and Estimating Guidelines of Asset Solutions Monitor Work in Progress for estimated work, capture actuals for inclusion in the Standard Work Library and report risks and opportunities when identified. Source estimate inputs and reference documentation from the Parts and Technical Systems and Depositories. Consult with Product Support, Engineering and Reliability representatives to ensure compliance to OEM standards and Customer requirements. Participate in customer negotiations as required to clarify information, secure sales, contract variations or disputes to realize outcomes in the best interest of HDAL. Develop Tender Schedules using MS Project and other plans, methodologies etc, as required of the Quote Request / RFT / RFQ. Maintain the Pipeline Schedule for future Opportunities known or quoted for input to Service financial and capacity plans. Oversee and Peer review estimating done by others within the Service Division Prepare and complete detailed handovers of estimates won to planning / execution teams.
