The purpose of the Joint Management Team is to support joint management in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (UKTNP). We do this by supporting and improving governance processes (the way meetings are run), building relationships between community and park through meetings and on-country trips, and working with the Mutitjulu Liaison Officer and Central Land Council Joint Management Officer. At UKTNP good governance in joint management means coordinating meetings with majority Anangu members and attendance and ensuring that meetings incorporate Anangu way decision making. This includes supporting Anangu of all ages to attend meetings, changing meeting formats and processes to suit Anangu way of thinking, talking and deciding, and being flexible in our approach to governance. This should also be reflected in our record keeping, so that actions and decisions arising from meetings reflect what Anangu and the Board want for the park and community, and are achievable, accountable and not easily undone. The key duties of the position include Provide leadership within the park and participate as an active member of the UKTNP senior management team to promote a collegiate and supportive workplace culture. This includes performing Duty Manager responsibilities when required. Provide supervision, leadership and direction for a small team of UKTNP staff and mentoring of Anangu rangers. Providing strategic support across the Park to drive joint management outcomes in the day-to-day operations of UKTNP. This includes: overseeing joint management procurements and project management any activities and duties that help meet the Joint Management objectives of the Park lease agreement and Management Plan. Manage delivery of Board of Management operations including: provision of secretariat services including preparing agendas, papers and minutes, tracking action items, arranging all meeting logistics and preparing relevant correspondence on behalf of the Board arranging Board member travel, accommodation, renumeration payments and governance training facilitating and participating in Joint Management Partnership Team meetings. Manage the Joint Management operational budget including undertaking contract and project management in accordance with the Departments policies, guidelines and frameworks Promote and implement relevant WHS legislation, policies and procedures across all sections of the park and working with relevant section managers, maintain a reporting system that enables continuous improvement in systems and processes in line with corporate WHS requirements.
