About the Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of children and young people in our care, as well as providing guidance and support to therap eutic carers and house supervisors. Duties included Therapeutic environment: Work with the House Supervisors and Area Managers to ensure that the home environment is therapeutic and supports the young person. Ensure that the relevant budget is maintained per young person. Direct Engagement: Directly engage with the young person and/or ensure that therapeutic interventions and approaches from external providers are consistent with the goals and outcomes for the young person. Crisis Management and advice: Provide assistance in crisis management situations, working collaboratively with the team to address and de-escalate critical incidents in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of all involved. Behavio u r Support Planning : Develop behavio u r support plans and therapeutic treatment plans, tailored to the individual needs of each child, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being. Developmental Milestones: Create and monitor developmental milestones for each child, facilitating their growth and progress in various domains, including physical, emotional, and educational. Specialised Training: Work in collaboration with the Learning and Development Coordinator to provide specialised training and guidance to staff, enabling them to work effectively with Transition in and out of Treehouse: Assist young people in transitioning in and out of our care, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and resources to make a smooth and successful transition. Data Collection: Utilise your expertise to conduct assessments at the beginning, during and end of each young person's placement to track their progress and identify areas that require specific attention and support. Collect relevant data and use it to inform decisions and reports. Monthly reports: Prepare comprehensive monthly reports that document the progress, challenges, and achievements of the young person, offering valuable insights f or ongoing improvement and decision-making.
