Hybrid work arrangements (WFH Eveleigh) PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: You will be responsible for managing and resolving incidents, while also providing expert support to ensure the successful delivery of system changes, enhancements, and projects related to the Department’s SAP HR Payroll systems. This role works closely with the broader HR stakeholders, Payroll operations team and Shared Services HR, and implement functional designs, assess impacts, operational needs and support process improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure and support the SAP Payroll (PY) module. Investigate and resolve production incidents as part of third-level support. Collaborate across multiple functional and technical teams to ensure the SAP environment is stable and fully supported. Assist clients in blueprinting and functional design of SAP Payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes. Conduct comprehensive testing for all payroll-related changes and system enhancements. Implement, configure, and maintain SAP HR Payroll solutions across various projects and support scenarios. Provide expert guidance on SAP Payroll functionality, system enhancements, and best practices to optimise payroll operations. Analyse business requirements and translate them into innovative and integrated SAP Payroll solutions. Deliver in-depth analysis and resolution of payroll production issues. Provide ongoing technical support and strategic advice to end users and business stakeholders. Assist clients in blueprinting and functional design of SAP Payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes. Develop, manage, and execute payroll test scripts for quality assurance and regression testing. ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS: Proven experience in the NSW Public Sector, with an understanding of sector-specific payroll and HR practices. Experience with SAP Concurrent Employment (CE) solution, managing complex employee scenarios across multiple positions. Proficient in using an ITSM for Incident Management, Demand management and tracking system issues to resolution. Demonstrated experience in implementing SAP Support Stack upgrades and support pack enhancements. Familiarity with Presence of IT tools, particularly POP Copy and Verification Tools, for environment management and data consistency checks. Working knowledge of Change Management processes, ensuring governance and risk mitigation in system changes. Experience test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
