About the Role As Project Manager – Energy Infrastructure & Grid Projects , you will take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of distributed and utility-scale energy projects. These range from microgrids and hybrid energy systems to grid-connected substations and renewable integration projects. You will work directly with clients, engineering, supply chain, and delivery teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment requiring technical fluency, strong communication skills, and disciplined project leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage full project lifecycle – from planning and design through to commissioning and handover. Engage with clients throughout project delivery to ensure alignment on scope, timeline, and performance. Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams including engineering, safety, and supply chain functions. Manage external vendors, subcontractors, and service providers across site works and commissioning. Ensure project milestones are met in line with time, cost, quality, and safety objectives. Monitor project risk, compliance, and contract performance, escalating where required. Prepare and present progress reports to internal and external stakeholders. Promote strong HSE culture and site leadership during delivery phase. Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives. This role supports delivery across energy and infrastructure projects including: Grid-Connected Substations – greenfield and brownfield developments Microgrids & Hybrid Systems – remote and embedded generation Renewable Integration – battery, solar, and wind grid connection projects Critical Infrastructure – energy solutions for public and private sector clients Engineering & Construction – technical, safety, and commissioning oversight Stakeholder Management – customer, contractor, and internal team coordination Candidate Profile Essential: 5 years’ experience managing infrastructure or energy projects in engineering, utilities, or EPC environments. Demonstrated capability in end-to-end project management, including stakeholder engagement, planning, and delivery. Strong understanding of energy systems, grid infrastructure, or electrical engineering principles. Experience coordinating internal and external delivery teams including engineering and site-based teams. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and compliance in project delivery. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or related fields. Experience with renewable integration or grid connection projects. Familiarity with HV/LV substation design, control systems, or power electronics. Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) or relevant engineering registration.
