About the Role Our client, a not-for-profit organisation is seeking interest from candidates for the position of Connection & Development Coach . This role supports individuals experiencing homelessness in their transition toward safe and sustainable housing. Key responsibilities include: Conduct assessments and develop tailored, goal-based plans with individuals. Build positive relationships and provide person-centred support focused on housing, health, and social connection. Coach individuals towards long-term independence using strengths-based approaches. Assist with transition planning and connection to long-term supports. Facilitate access to stable housing, services, and community networks. Encourage social participation and support the development of personal networks. Keep accurate and confidential records in line with internal and external requirements. Adhere to relevant legislation, including child safety, human rights, and WHS. Support connection to Culture, Community, and sustainable pathways forward. Share cultural insights to support culturally safe practices across the team. Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, responsive team culture. Advocate for the needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and other diverse communities. About you To be successful in this role you will have: A tertiary qualification (desirable) in human services, behavioural science, social work or other relevant field of study or relevant experience. Mental health qualifications and/or experience will be viewed favourably. Expertise in supporting individuals. Knowledge of Housing Solutions and Community Support. Evidence based Practice. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills. Strong teamwork and collation skills. A strong understanding of Cultural Awareness and demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma.
