In this role, you will contribute to lead, drive, design and implement cutting edge Data and AI solutions to accelerate Advanced Analytics and Data Management capabilities to uplift customer excellence in our ambitious AI Journey. You will work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams across the Retail Banking Services domain to ensure best customer and business outcomes are achieved. Retail Advanced Analytics and Data (RAAD) team works closely with the Retail Banking Services domain to enable best practices in Data, Advanced Analytics and AI. As a community of Data and Advanced Analytics professionals, we have diverse backgrounds and industry experience, with in-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data, and Advanced Analytics techniques. We combine these with our Business Acumen to deliver innovative solutions enabling data driven decisions. Key Responsibilities: Lead in collaboration with multiple crews within the business unit in delivering against data strategies, drive roadmaps and business priorities. Drive the creation and delivery of high-quality, reusable data products. Promote data skills development and foster strong collaboration across teams. Define and implement data needs and governance mechanisms aligned to business goals. Oversee data remediation programs, ensuring high data quality and metadata standards. Align Crew data roadmaps to meet the data demands of the business and Group. Standardise and scale the production of efficient, re-usable data products. Strengthen producer-consumer data relationships across BUs/SUs. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and CIOs to align on target state for data systems. Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning in data. Provide thought leadership across Data, AI, and Analytics, mentoring technical professional. Work with Domain leads to implement and adhere to group’s Data Management Policy across RBS domains. We will be interested in people with: Proven experience leading enterprise-level data initiatives, with a core background in Data Engineering, Architecture. Expertise in data governance, metadata management, data product focused mindset and business-aligned data strategy. Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership experience. A passion for leading people, upskilling teams and championing collaboration. Thought leadership in Data, AI, or Analytics with a drive to democratise data use. Experience in Data Cloud migration and exposure to AWS eco system would be desirable. Technical Skills and Tools: People Management : Demonstrated experience in managing and leading large technical teams in Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics and Data Management. Technical Leadership: Deep technical expertise in data management, data engineering and cloud migration with focus on AWS Cloud will be desirable. Tooling: A core background in data engineering along with decent exposure to managing hands-on tools such as Spark, Python, SQL, and key AWS integration packages. Cloud Architecture: Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring on AWS infrastructures. CI/CD: Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub is desirable.
