About The Role Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College (OLSH) is a three-campus school in Alice Springs, serving students from Transition to Year 12. We are currently seeking a Gardening & Maintenance Officer to work primarily at our Bath Street Campus (Transition – Year 4). This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. Full PPE—including uniforms and boots—will be provided. We operate across three campuses in Alice Springs: Bath Street – Transition to Year 4Traeger Campus – Years 5 to 8Sadadeen Campus – Years 9 to 12 Responsibilities and Duties General gardening, weeding, pick up rubbish in garden beds, prune treesWater pot plants in courtyards and foyers, check reticulationGeneral maintenance duties, including minor paintingEmpty and Clean Bins/ replace bin linersEnsure verandahs, stairways and paths are clear or leaves and rubbishLiaise with external contractors and ensure safe work practicesClean drains and guttersMowingCheck and repair toilets and tapsMould removal and air conditioning filter cleaning Essential Criteria Have a commitment to uphold the Catholic School EthosBe self motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision and be a good role model to others such as studentsHold a Current Drivers Licence and a LR or the ability to acquire LRMaintain a current Working with Children Card (Ochre Card)
