About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Labourer to join a high-performing bridge maintenance crew based in Wagga Wagga. This role blends physical labour with quality assurance responsibilities, ensuring project standards and safety protocols are consistently met. The position offers a fixed term with potential for extension, living-away-from-home provisions, and the chance to contribute to essential state infrastructure works. Wagga Wagga $45.21/hr (PP7) super penalties 8.5 hours/day, 76 hours/fortnight, 9 day fortnight Leaving away from home might be required (accommodation allowances provided) Contract end date: 18/08/2025 (3 months, potential for extension) Key Responsibilities Perform non-trade maintenance and construction tasks under minimal supervision Monitor project activities to ensure alignment with quality requirements Identify and resolve common worksite issues; escalate more complex problems as needed Support and train team members with day-to-day activities Participate actively in safety and toolbox meetings, providing input for improvements Assist in traffic management and ensure site safety near roadways Maintain compliance with WHS policies and task-specific procedures Record work progress and report inconsistencies or hazards Communicate effectively with supervisors and external contractors Operate tools, equipment and vehicles in accordance with guidelines About You White Card – General Construction Induction essential Work on Foot (WOF) ticket – current or willing to obtain Valid C Class Driver’s Licence or above Demonstrated experience in physical labour roles, preferably within civil or transport projects Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively Comfortable working near traffic and in varied outdoor conditions Willing to travel and perform duties outside standard hours as required Ability to adapt quickly and work independently Must have full Australian working rights – Citizen, PR, or valid long-term visa holders only A satisfactory police check is required (can commence before clearance, subject to termination if adverse findings arise) Application Process Important: We prioritise candidates that touch base before any job search.
