About the office/school The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Partnerships and International leads the development and enhancement of the University’s research, international and partnership strategies, along with overseeing the recruitment of domestic and international students. About the role The individual will have direct responsibly for the development, implementation and enhancement of the University's recruitment and marketing strategies, the role is also responsible for the recruitment of domestic and international students and the marketing activities of the University. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic advice and expert guidance to the DVC, RPI, the University Board of Directors and other senior stakeholders on all aspects of the portfolio. Governance of student recruitment through the development, implementation and enhancement of: - Actions aimed at driving sustainable growth in domestic and international student load, including working collaboratively with Executive Deans and Professional Service colleagues in relation to the delivery of the student enrolment plan; - Initiatives aimed at maintaining and improving the quality and diversity of the student intake, including driving the development of new initiatives to expand opportunities for students of the highest potential as well as those from diverse backgrounds; - Strategies aimed at ensuring excellence in a student’s experience across the lifecycle of enrolment to employment; and - Strategies aimed at ensuring the University’s compliance with relevant legislation. Develop and maintain strategic alliances and collaborative agreements with international partners and international peak bodies including articulation, pathways, exchange and offshore teaching and scholarship arrangements, fostering student global experience and mobility and research collaboration. Qualifications, skills & experience PhD qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or experience and expertise in the provision of strategic advice and leadership affecting the direction of a complex higher education organisation, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience. Significant experience and expertise in developing, implementing and evaluating higher education strategies in a digitalised environment. Significant experience and expertise in developing and implementing international and domestic student recruitment strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead and govern the development, implementation and enhancement of various strategies in complex organisational and political settings, including the ability to work closely with staff and leaders to deliver and implement initiatives. Exceptional strategic leadership and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability represent the University externally to high-level stakeholders both nationally and internationally. Demonstrated ability to manage high level projects within a complex organisation. Demonstrated capacity to lead innovation and change in an international and national dimension.
