HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join the HumeLink West team. This is a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply. Local applicants are highly considered and encouraged to apply. Key Accountabilities Deliver training, coaching and development activities for new employees being inducted on the project. Conduct competency assessments within field of expertise or in conjunction with a subject matter expert as outlined in the relevant training package. Ensure rigor and validation of competency-based assessments, verifications of competency and the evidence gathered to meet compliance. Evaluate training programs, obtaining written feedback for review and discussion with the Training Manager. Facilitating with RTOs on any course improvement opportunities. Demonstrate a personal commitment to the One HSE Framework, policies, Critical Risk Controls and Management System requirements and expectations About You Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40122). Hold the appropriate qualifications and experience to deliver and assess the required training needs for project. Have experience in training delivery to the construction / energy industry. Have demonstrated experience to adapt training needs to a culturally diverse cohort of learners. Have a strong work ethic and commitment to promoting positive culture. Be innovative and adaptive to change. The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
